Having worked within a number of the top planning teams in Scotland including Montagu Evans, Jones Lang LaSalle, King Sturge and Muir Smith Evans, Pippa has gained invaluable experience in negotiating major projects through both the Scottish and English planning systems.
Key to her success is her ability to develop effective planning strategy and understand the commercial aspects of development proposals. Delivering a planning consent which is effective and adds value to the client in both monetary terms and practical terms is a critical marker of success.
As the owner of Progress, Pippa provides a personal and direct service centred on the client’s aims and objectives and working in partnership to develop strategies that work, at both a cost and timescale appropriate to the client and the project.
Working together with other experienced experts Pippa is able to provide a full consultancy service managing projects of all sizes, without compromising the level of service provided, or deferring advice to more junior professionals.
Pippa prides herself in her ability to establish strong relationships with clients, council officers and other consultants. In doing so she is able to navigate through the planning and development process in a manner which is refreshing, open and realistic, and which delivers results without unnecessary delay or conflict.
Pippa’s has built up an impressive list of preferred specialists in key sectors such as Traffic and Transport, Environmental Assessment, Archaeology, Heritage etc.
Pippa will communicate with you as often or as little as you wish. Progress is set up to provide a fully electronic service but is equally able to provide ‘old style’ written advice and paperwork if that is your preference.
An open and honest policy is adopted where both Client and consultant are encouraged to air their views openly, and where advice is presented as clearly and directly as possible – the removal of ‘industry talk’ and the provision of straight forward advice is central to the Progress approach.
The planning system is often complex and unclear, Pippa’s experience and approach enables her to ‘cut to the chase’ and provide a clear explanation of what is required and how to achieve it.
